I’m antsy and edgy

and I’d like to smack somebody – no one in particular – just anyone at all – to get rid of this itchy feeling. Not itchy as in scratchy itchy as in prickly, like cactus.

Tuesday was a stupid day filled with stupid frustrations, and I don’t know why that’s still on my mind.

I need everyone to go back to work because they are hogging all the bandwidth. This is an old building and was retrofitted with cable and every time I complain Comcast says, and rightly so, “It’s the wiring in your building.”  A couple of years ago Verizon put their fiber optics crap in the building but their reputation for service is worse than Comcast’s around here. Plus the Verizon box with all the connections is in the trash room and the box is unlocked and all the connection wires are just hanging down. A really mean person could disconnect everyone on this floor by just pulling the wires out. I’m not that kind of person, but you know, just sayin’

Are there big bad things going on in the world? You betcha’.  All laid at the door of the stupidity of human beings. Were human beings to be eradicated from the Universe, it would be a very good thing.

  1. Our place has the newest tech in terms of delivering internet — and it drops out fifty or so times a day. Or is that every hour? Every day, every hour, every minute. And we pay good money for this expletive.

  2. Comcast is our only choice of internet here other than Centurylink DSL. I really hate paying that Comcast bill every month because there’s no way we’re getting the service that the amount would suggest. Our electric bill isn’t even as high during the months when the heat pump runs all month heating us up or cooling us down! So frustrating! As for the stupid people, I’d love for them to all go somewhere far, far away!

  3. My mood is going from bad to worse the last few weeks. So much frustration… so few people to smack! *sigh* Waiting over a week for promised prescription refill orders, so I can mail them off to Canada (a whole other frustration=the state of medication manufacturing in THIS country), is just one of my frustrations. I won’t type out the rest. So know you’re not alone, Grace, as small a consolation as that is.

    1. I think that whole thing about going to Canada to get medications is a total disgrace for the USA – a while back I read a story about a woman who charters a bus, collects a bunch of people and they go on up to Canda to get their insulin (they call the pharmacy in Canada first and literally make an appointment to insure the pharmacy will have an adequate supply.) What is that Jean Shepard quote “In God we trust, all others pay cash” – the greed in this country is so overwhelming and no one even tries to hide it…Oh please don’t get me started!

  4. I haven’t had much problem with my internet connection but my phone has been horrible. I try to scroll through Facebook or check my blog when I’m on lunch or break at work and it’s always telling me that I have no internet connection. I never used to have a problem.
Oh and I am definitely tired of dealing with stupid people.

    1. This is a fairly large apartment building – 249 units in a fairly densely populated area with a lot of apartment buildings within 2-3 miles plus a mall, a lot of business and offices – so a lot of pull on the bandwidth – with folks working from home they are sucking my speed!
